Adding Lisa Scott’s (late, due to email problems) answers — and clearing up the muck I made a couple days ago (when I flipped the Pat’s in 5 & 7). Gaining 42% of the primary votes, Scott moves on to the November primary, as does Patrick Daugherty, who scored 23%, well ahead of the other three challengers.
Scott’s and Daugherty’s answers to the North Beach News question, “What is your biggest challenge to winning election?”
Scott: “First off I am very humbled to have been one of the two candidates that was voted to go forward. We have some large decisions that need to be prioritized and funded in the up and coming years and I want to be a part of that. Not everyone receives their information, news, gossip the same way. The biggest challenge, in my opinion, is trying to reach enough citizens so that they feel like they are being listened to, they get answers (whether they agree or not), they see things being accomplished and that they feel a part of the community, whether they’ve been here for 6 months or 40 years.”
Daugherty: “To gain the confidence and respect of the residents. That I will be their correct choice for city council. And that I will truly listen to them and make the attempt to address their concerns to the of my ability.”
