R 7 zoning was designed for medium density multipal family units such as the preposed building. The zoning also allows for single family homes, but if there is a vacant lot near you, you should be aware that mutipal family units may be your neighbor. That is the downside of building a single family home in anything other than R 1 zones. I understand how homeowners in the area feel, because quite frankly, I wouldn’t want it next to my home.
